8 August 1918 Pte Victor Brian Pugh105958 Pte Victor Brian Pugh, 2nd Bn Canadian MGC.

Born in Covington , Indiana (USA) on 24 January 1899, Victor was a farmer living at Halbrite, Saskatchwen at the time of his enlistment. Enlisting at Regina, Sask. on 28 March 1916, Victor was sent to France on 1 April 1918 with the 2nd Bn CMGC. He was killed in action during the allied advance near Marcelcave on 8 August 1918. Victor is now buried at Wood Cemetery, Marcelcave, Somme.
