Inf Xaver Wolf, 10 Komp., Kgl. Bay. 11 Inf-Regt. ‘von der Tann’.
A farmer from Ebersroith, Bavaria, Xaver was a veteran of the Battle of Verdun where he had seen his first active service in the months prior to his death. He was killed in action whilst fighting in the Somme battle on 25 September 1916 and he has no known grave. Xaver was 22 years of age at his death.
