1094 Sdt Victor Troncy, 98e RI.
Born at Coutouvre on 12 January 1889, Victor was a reservist at the outbreak of war. Recalled to the 98th Infantry, he saw action at the Battles of Sarrebourg , la Mortagne, the Aisne and First Picardie before being wounded in action at the Bois de Loges. Victor died of wounds at the mixed hospital at Bourg (Aisne) on 18 October 1914 and his grave location is unknown.
