Feldkurat Josef Konrad Gorbach, (attch'd) K Sch Rgt Nr 1.
From Kennelbach, Austria, Josef was born on 21 August 1882. A chaplain in Kennelbach in civilian life, he enlisted into the Army Chaplaincy Dept soon after the outbreak of war and, by mid-1915 had been assigned to the K Sch Regt Nr 1. Wounded whilst his regiment was serving in Italy, Josef died in a military hospital in Vienna, where he is still buried.
