Inf Anton Huster, Kgl Bay Inf-Regt Nr 20 ‘Prinz Franz'.
Born in Austria on 17 January 1895, Anton was residing at Hemigkofen, Austria at the time of the outbreak of war. Avoiding conscription into the Austrian Army, he travelled across the border and enlisted into the Bavarian Army in August 1914. By the end of the year, Anton was serving in the trenches of the Somme where he was to remain until his regiment was transferred to the Artois front in October 1915. He was severely wounded near Thelus, Arras, and he died in a field hospital near Lille on 22 October 1915. Anton's grave location is unrecorded.
