3915 Sdt Emile Alexandre Chevalier, 98 RI.
Born at Charlieu, Loire, on 29 April 1884, Emile was a recalled reservist who re-enlisted to full-time service on 2 August 1914. After seeing action in the earliest campaigns of the war, he was wounded in action on the Somme front and died near Amiens on 6 November 1914. Emile is now buried in the Nécropole nationale of "Saint-Pierre" at Amiens.
