23 November 1918 Pvt Thomas RobsonPvt Thomas Robson, Co L 47th Infantry Regiment, US Army.

From Evansville, Indiana, Thomas was born on 9 August 1891. A check clerk in a freight house, he was drafted on 28 March 1918 and trained at Camp Taylor before being sent to France on 10 May 1918. Thomas was wounded in action during the early stages of the Meuse-Argonne offensive, but returned to the front after a short hospital stay. Wounded again on 11 November 1918, Thomas died of septicaemia whilst undergoing treatment in hospital. He was buried in American Cemetery No 10 near Chaumont which was later transferred to the St Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt.
