Born at Dornsbirn, Austria on 15 February 1889, Englebert was a farmer prior to his enlistment. Serving within Austria-Hungary for much of his war, Englebert died as the result of an accident at Kitzbuhel (Tyrol) on 24 November 1917. His burial place is unrecorded.
