Cpl Alonzo Robinson, Co B, 325th Infantry Regt.
A labourer from Vincennes, Indiana, Alonzo was born on 28 October 1892. He enlisted into the US Army on 28 June 1916 and saw service on the Mexican border before being sent to France in September 1918. Gassed during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Alonzo was returned to the USA on 14 May 1919 and discharged - due to physical disabilities caused by the gassing - on 29 May 1919. He died of tuberculosis due to his gas injuries on 21 December 1919 and is buried at Vincennes.
