24 December 1914 Marsouin Felix Abel Achaintre976 Marsouin Felix Abel Achaintre, 6e RIC.

Born at Bourg de Chizy on 30 January 1894, Felix was already serving his compulsory military service at the outbreak of war. After serving in Alsace and the Argonne, his unit moved into Flanders and was holding a sector to the south of Ypres by December 1914. Felix was killed during a German mortar bombardment on the French trenches at Verbrandenmolen near Zillebeke on Christmas Eve 1914. He has no known grave.
