Sdt Claude Simon Boffety, 23e BCA.
Born at la Chapelle on 21 May 1879 and residing at Mayet de Montagne, Claude re-enlisted in August 1914 and fought in the Vosges and at the Yser. Falling ill in the trenches near Dixmude at the end of December 1914, he died in hospital at Zuydcoote. Claude is now buried in the Necropole Nationale at Zuydcoote.
