Kaiserschütze Fridolin Gmeinder, KuK K Sch Rgt Nr 1.
Born at Dornbirn, Austria, on 29 May 1892, Fridolin was a farmer prior to his enlistment. A serving soldier at the outbreak of war, he died of disease in the ‘epidemic hospital' at Trient, Tyrol, Austria (now Trento, Italy) on 8 January 1915 where he is still buried.
