17 January 1916 Cpl John Stiby Groves107252 Cpl John Stiby Groves, 3rd Can Div Signal Coy, Canadian Signal Corps.

Born at Melcombe Bingham, Dorset on 18 July 1893, John enlisted into the CEF at Victoria, British Columbia on 18 December 1914. Mortally wounded whilst working on telephone communications in front of Fletre, John died in a Casualty Clearing Station at Hazebrouk on 17 January 1916. He is now buried in Hazebrouk Communal Cemetery.
