20 January 1917 Pte Arthur Munroe Harrison

From Earby, Yorkshire, Arthur was a weaver at Spring Mill, Earby prior to enlistment. Enlisting in January 1916, he served at the front (Somme) from July of that year. Severely wounded on January 20th 1917, Arthur died whilst in the care of a Field Ambulance near Humbercamps, Pas de Calais. He now lies buried in the village's communal cemetery extension. He was 22 years of age.
