Description

Professor Derry is Emeritus Professor of Modern British History at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Before moving back to near his home town he served in the RAF and held other academic posts, including Fellow and Director of Studies at Downing College, Cambridge. His talk will look at General Horne, First Army commander, who is probably the least well known of Haig’s generals.
