This presentation covers the evolution of the La Boisselle project, its planning and execution and, of course, the small sector of the Glory Hole at La Boisselle. The talk will also look at the infantry and tunnellers - British, French and German. This is an on-going project and by late 2012 some interesting and possibly spectacular footage of the excavations is likely to be available.

Jeremy Banning is a graduate from Birkbeck College, University of London with an MA in Modern History. He has acted as principal researcher for radio and television programmes including a Time Team Special broadcast in April 2011 where he undertook an archaeological dig on the Somme searching for pieces of a Liven Large Gallery Flame Projector. He is a founding member of the La Boisselle Study Group http://www.laboisselleproject.com/. This project has been designed to investigate archaeologically and historically the site of the Glory Hole at La Boisselle.
