The Western Front Association (“ the WFA”) website (“the Site”) is provided for general information only and whilst every effort is made by the WFA to maintain the accuracy of information on the Site, content may not be accurate and complete and is provided “as is”. Therefore, you should not plan to do or refrain from doing something in reliance upon the Site’s content without checking the accuracy of such content by some other means.

2 AGREEMENT

You agree to these terms every time you access any part of the Site or utilise any of the content of the Site.

3 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Site and its content are owned by the WFA or licensed to the WFA. Where it has proved difficult to determine the original owner of any relevant material, it is possible that their intellectual property rights have unknowingly been infringed. Owners of such material should contact the Digital Editor.

4 LINKS FROM THE SITE

We are not responsible for the content of any third party websites linked to the Site. They are independent of the WFA and their content is not approved or endorsed by the WFA.

5 LINKING TO THE SITE

No links to the Site may be made for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the WFA. However, other than as set out above, we encourage links to the Site.

6 USE

You may view, print, download or temporarily store extracts from the Site for personal reference. No other use if the Site or its content is permitted without the prior written consent of the WFA. Other than as provided, the Site cannot, in whole or in part, be copied or transmitted in any way without the prior written consent of the WFA.

7 VIRUSES

The WFA uses reasonable endeavours to ensure the Site is free from viruses but no warranty is given that the Site is free from viruses or any other destructive properties. You should check for viruses on all information from the Site used by you.

8 PRIVACY

This privacy statement covers the Site. Because the Trustees of WFA wish to demonstrate commitment to our users’ privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices.

a No personally identifiable information is collected in the normal use of the Site, except where it is specifically requested as part of a registration process, such as in a discussion forum or guest book or if you make a purchase. This information is not used for any purpose except to identify the person using the Site.

b No personally identifiable information is collected by any third parties through the Site except when you make a purchase using a credit cards or similar device.

c Security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under the control of the WFA. All relevant areas are protected by multiple-level passwords.

d Users can in all cases correct any inaccuracies in the information they initially provided.

9 ADVERTISING

The WFA makes reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Site only includes advertising from reputable organisations that are aligned with its values as an organisation. However it cannot guarantee the validity or integrity of the information content in all of the advertising it publishes. Therefore the appearance of any advertisement on the Site does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement by the WFA of the quality or value of the product or service or of claims made for them by their advertisers.

The views expressed in articles on this website are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect or represent those of the Editor, his associates or the Trustees of The Western Front Association.

11 DISCLAIMER

The WFA shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage (other than loss or damage which cannot be excluded under English law) in connection with any use of the Site or its content.

12 JURISDICTION

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of these terms shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
