1	Centre for First World War Studies (Univ of Birmingham) The centre is part of the Departments of Medieval and Modern History (graded 5 in the 2001 RAE assessments) at Birmingham, and is one of the country’s leading Departments, with an excellent record of high-powered research of international standing.
2	War Studies (Univ Wolverhampton) This highly-topical course focuses on issues such as contemporary security and the future of warfare, as well as the social and psychological impact of war. Study morality and ethics in war, and images of war and peace in the media. Benefit from field trips overseas (for example to Normandy). Examine other forms of international conflict and internal strife, in addition to external war. Taught by leading scholars in the field, this course allows you to gain skills in critical analysis, debate, reasoning and composition.
