Worcestershire and Herefordshire
The Worcestershire & Herefordshire Branch was founded in February 1998 by WFA members, Martin and Frances Fricker, who became our first Chairman and Treasurer respectively. A number of people who attended that first meeting are still active branch members. Many eminent military historians and authors have spoken at our meetings over the years.

North Lancashire
The branch was formed in 1998 with the objective of providing a local focus for anyone interested in the Great War. We meet every month and aim to provide speakers, both local and national, to talk about different aspects of the Great War.

Cleveland
The Cleveland Branch is a thriving member of the WFA and through our website we aim to keep you informed of our meetings and activities with details of events, projects and articles relating to the Great War.

Cheltenham and Gloucester
The Cheltenham & Gloucester Branch is very active with regular attendance of over 40 people at our monthly meeting meetings. We meet every second Tuesday of the month at The Prince Michael Hall, Dean Close School, Cheltenham, with speakers organised from all over the country, film and documentary showings and organised trips being arranged both in this country and to the Western Front.
All are welcome to attend our meetings.

East Kent
The branch was formed in February 2001 and eight years on it is good to report that our meetings regularly attract 80 or more people. We aim to provide speakers and activities to attract anyone with an interest in the history of The Great War. Additional events, such as a battlefield tour and local day visits, provide more opportunities to further our knowledge and generate interest. 2005 was the 25th anniversary of the founding of the WFA. The branch began carrying out research for a publication listing places, events and references sources relating to The Great War in the east of Kent to mark this event. Publication finally happened in November 2008. Please contact us for details.

Heart of England
The Heart of England Branch of the Western Front Association aims to provide a focal point for all those in our area who have an interest in the Great War of 1914-18 and who wish to perpetuate the memory of those who served in that War, irrespective of their country.

Milton Keynes
Here you'll be able to find information about our branch meetings and other occasional activities. We also feature research reports about the Great War as it was experienced in our neighbourhoods: see 'Local Heroes'. There is also a variety of features in the Miscellany section.
While Milton Keynes is a new city, it incorporates several old communities - Wolverton (a railway town where an WW1 ambulance train was famously built), the Watling Street coaching towns of Fenny Stratford and Old Stratford, and several very old villages.
Surrounding the new city is the countryside of Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire (each with their WW1 regiments), and we welcome members from as far away as they wish to travel!

South Wales
The South Wales Branch, the oldest of the Welsh branches, was formed at Cardiff with a mere 9 members. Since then meetings have been held at Cardiff on a monthly basis and speakers from all over the UK and locally, including the wealth of knowledge held by branch members, are invited to give interesting talks to the Branch on a wide variety of subjects concerning the Great War. The Branch is also involved with the various Family History Societies' and other events in the locality.

Wolverhampton
The Branch meets once a month (see 'Speaker programme' for details) We have a speaker each month to deliver a talk on an aspect of WW1. Members and non-members of the WFA are very welcome.

Pacific Coast Branch, USA and Canada
The Pacific Coast Branch of The Western Front Association was founded in 1999 and has members from the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan; and the States of Washington, Oregon, California, Virginia, and Florida.
Headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, this Branch is part of the British Western Front Association which was inaugurated in 1980.

Dorset and South Wiltshire
The Dorset & South Wiltshire Branch is one of 47 affiliated regional branches of the WFA in the UK and through this website we aim to keep you informed of our various branch activities.
At our monthly branch meetings we offer a programme of quality speakers to cater for a wide range of interest in The Great War - from the battlefields to the home front, from the conduct of armies to the personal experience of individuals. Our focus is not limited to a specific branch of the armed forces, to a specific theatre of war or simply to the British and Empire involvement.

The Branch was founded in 2009 and we meet at: Bishop Grosseteste University College, Longdales Road, Lincoln. LN1 3DY.

Northampton
The Northamptonshire Branch, which was formed on the 20th April 1995, meets every second Thursday of the month, meeting at around 19.30hrs for a 20.00hrs start. The typical night involves a guest speaker who will talk for around sixty minutes on a topic relevant to the Great War. We usually break mid talk for a drink from the bar and a sandwich. We also have a yearly evening out and this year we hope to organise a day out.
The knowledge of the branch is vast and we also have access to a small library open to members for a small deposit. The members have a cross section of knowledge and subject of the Great War, from the Western front to other theatres such as Gallipoli, or from analysis of battles to unit histories.
We welcome anyone, who can add or learn or just enjoy, to our branch, to join us and further the ethos of keeping alive what a generation sacrificed on all fronts and all sides in what was truly the First World War.

East Coast USA
Western Front Association (WFA) East Coast is part of an international organization founded in the United Kingdom in 1980 with branches and chapters in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States. WFA East Coast is dedicated to furthering interest in the period 1914-1918 and to perpetuating the memory, courage and comradeship of those who served their countries during The Great War (1914-1918).
WFA East Coast studies all aspects of the war, not just the Western Front. We do not seek to glorify or justify war; nor are we a re-enactment society or commercially motivated. The WFA East Coast is entirely non-political and membership is welcome to anyone with a like mind.

Chesterfield
The Chesterfield Branch of the Western Front Association was set up in January 2010 and is one of the most recent additions to the international network. Everybody is warmly welcomed to our meetings.
