Dr John Bourne BA, PhD, FRHistS (WFA Vice President) discusses the selection (and deselection) of officers in the Great War
John is the founder of the Centre for First World War Studies at the University of Birmingham. He has written extensively about the Great War. John is also a Member of the British Commission for Military History, a Councillor of the Army Records Society, and Patron of the West Midlands Police Military History Society.
