The last known Canadian Great War Veteran, John Babcock, has died.

John Babcock, who enlisted aged 15, passed away on 18 February. Due to his age, he never saw action as he was obliged to wait until he was 18 to go to the front. The war ended first, however.

British World War One Veterans in Song and Interview

The moving songs and interviews you will hear in this programme were recorded with the First World War ex-servicemen at Flanders House in Glasgow just under 30 years ago.The clips were only aired for the first time to commemorate Armistice Day 2007. It was featured on BBC Radio Scotland, Reporting Scotland and the Glasgow Evening Times.
