Due to a drafting error in the November 2010 edition of The Poppy, the listing for the December meeting was unfortunately omitted from the programme for this season.
Therefore, as a reminder to everyone, this months' meeting will take place this coming Thursday, 16th December 2010 commencing at 8 o'clock, when our speaker will be Kevin Varty talking about 'The Great War through the Magic Lantern'
Kevin's fascinating talk covers the history of the Magic Lantern from its invention through to its heyday during the Great War using original slides and magic lanterns.
Please note that this is a normal branch meeting (not a Christmas Social) but there will be slight change from the norm in that sandwiches will be taken at a break midway through Kevin's talk so that the historic projecting equipment can be allowed to cool down for a while.
